Large family house to rent in Normandy

Four bedrooms share the house: the Master Bedroom with its extra-large bed, the Cosy room, the bunk room designed for children and teenagers, and the dormitory that gathers the cousins together. Eight beds in all, plus two cots.

The dining room seats ten around a large table extended by the bar, and the sitting room has room for seven or eight around the wood stove. Two bathrooms keep the morning queue short.

The enclosed grounds of over a hectare have a swing set, and the house provides two travel cots, a high chair and toys. Guests often mention it in their reviews: the toys and the play space make all the difference for families.

Around the house, there is no shortage of outings: pony rides in Sotteville-sur-Mer, the Les Saveurs du Lait farm and its ice cream about twenty minutes away, rock-pooling on the shelf at Veulettes at low tide, or the summer toboggan run and playground at Lake Caniel.

One bedroom is on the ground floor with its own shower room, which spares the stairs for those who would rather avoid them. The house is not certified for reduced mobility, though: contact the concierge service to check it suits your situation.

Meals are taken on the terrace facing the grounds, with the fire pit and the Weber barbecue, while the children play within sight.
